hair

I'm really bored of my hairstyle at the present moment. Some days I can't stand it and feel like lopping it all off but then there's still days where I'm loving my long hair.

I'm tossing up between keeping long but uber-uber straight. Like this.

Or cutting it shorter a bit so it's like this. With straight edges though.

I'm still sitting on the fence though, because my hair is really quite thick and heavy. This kind of hairstyle would emphasise that and also be hard to maintain. I already hate hair-washing days as it is.

I considered this even,
but I fear my face is way too round for this and I'd just end up with mumsy hair.

Help!

shopluxirare + deluge

bows and spikes at shopluxirare
ah-mazing.

Right now devastating flood waters are inundating Brisbane - the images are truly heartbreaking and terrifying. Many of my friends have had to evacuate from their homes and my university is also going under water. Currently the Brisbane River has risen 4.16m and it's said to reach 5.5m by tomorrow. Also just heard that my university is now going underwater too. It's affecting the entire community in ways you don't even consider at first. My heartfelt prayers and thoughts go out to all those who have lost their homes to this awful natural disaster.

Let's not lose sight of the truly important things in life - this is great reminder. Just a few days ago I was complaining like a right bitch about having no internet (for a week) when really this is the least of people's problems right now. As long as we are surrounded by our family and friends and loved ones in general with a roof over our heads we have a lot to be thankful for.

Happy New Year

December slips away and now we are basking the shiny uncertainty of another year.
Some piccies of my outfit on NYE.

What's your New Year's Resolution? I don't have any new ones, I just want to keep building on last year's ones. My 'motto' this year is "don't lose sight of the bigger picture".

playing on polyvore

So I was totally bored just now and started playing on polyvore. I wasn't initially planning on putting these up but then I thought it'd be good to document some outfits that I'm keen on recreating/reinterpreting in the coming year...(with my real wardrobe hah.) Enjoy! In no particular order.
